Cherry Festival Weekend
It’s Cherry Festival Weekend, and we’ve got so much going on, it’s hard to keep it all straight! From a new mechanic to moving forward on projects, there’s always something going on.
We’ve got PAINT! This car has been an ongoing WIP and we’ve finally passed the paint hurdle. Now we can move on to getting the engine and transmission re-installed, get the interior dash and wiring done, putting in the upholstery, and adding the final exterior finishing details to make this car shine.
This blue beauty is nearly done. We had to do some touchup work on the paint, but next up is getting the interior put back together, the headlights and such installed, and then the finishing trim applied.
There is A LOT of real estate on this van to get sanded down and prepped to prime and paint. There is a lot of rust mitigation to be done, and we’ve had to patch a part of the body that was eaten away by rust. After we get done prepping the body, we need to get the windows out so we can prime and paint, then take the pop-up tent off to replace it with a new one.

We’ve been chugging away on this one, getting it running was our first priority. Now we’re working on getting the lights working like the should, converting a 6V system to a 12V.
